Entries Now Open for The Altos 2023!

Submissions are now open for The Altos the awards ceremony that proudly recognises the most innovative hospitality operators and software providers in the corporate accommodation industry. 

The awards are free to enter and celebrate innovation across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The winners will be announced at an in-person event, which takes place between 3pm and 10.30pm at Landing Forty Two in London on December 5. 

How to Enter

There are eight categories, including a Rising Star award!

Best Interior Design 

This category celebrates exceptional interior design in one or more properties that has been implemented or improved over the last 12 months.

Most Innovative Use of Technology 

The winner of this award will demonstrate the thoughtful utilisation of technology to improve the guest experience, and/or operational property efficiency, over the last 12 months.

Excellence in Safety and Security 

Ensuring the highest level of safety and security in one or more properties through new or improved implementations over the past 12 months.

Best Sustainability Initiative 

Achieving sustainability goals through a new or improved initiative in the last 12 months, aimed at reducing the carbon footprint.

Best Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative 

This award winner will demonstrate efforts that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. For example, this could be internally within the organisation, or externally — such as ensuring the highest standard in achieving a fully accessible stay for all guests, or other measures that take into consideration DEI issues. 

Best Hospitality Operator – Europe 

This award recognises a hospitality operator with one or more properties in Europe that has shown evidence they are providing a unique and exceptional stay, and are dedicated to customer service and client satisfaction, with an ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.

Best Hospitality Operator – Middle East & Africa

This award recognises a hospitality operator with one or more properties across the Middle East & Africa that has shown evidence they are providing a unique and exceptional stay, and are dedicated to customer service and client satisfaction, with an ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.

Rising Star

An emerging talent in the hospitality industry who has demonstrated leadership and the qualities to drive change in the last 12 months, making a name for themselves in the process!

Our panel of expert industry judges (to be soon announced) will evaluate and score each of the first 7 categories, while nominees for Rising Star will be voted for by the public.

We welcome applications from small to large businesses that can demonstrate excellence in the short and extended stay rental market. Don’t delay the submission window closes in just under 2 weeks!

  • Submission Deadline: Tuesday, October 17th
  • Shortlist Announcement: Early November
  • Winner Announcement: Tuesday, December 5th

About the Event

This is the fourth year of The Altos, and this EMEA edition follows our first ever Asia Pacific-focused awards ceremony, which was held in Singapore on September 6 check out the winners here. You can also see the winners from the 2022 event here.

About the Venue

Landing Forty Two is located at the top of The Leadenhall Building (also affectionately known as the “Cheesegrater”) and is London's highest dedicated event space. In fact it's situated 500 feet above street-level in the heart of the City's financial district, and offers mesmerising views over the Thames and London skyline. The Leadenhall Building also has sustainability at its core too, with solar responsive venetian blinds inbuilt into the windows.

Bonus fact! The Leadenhall building's lifts are the fastest in Europe, traveling 8 metres a second, reaching the peak of the building in only 40 seconds.
