Sip a cocktail at the Zappa café

Enjoy a relaxing break and let the time pass while gazing at the iconic mural made by Jean-Michel Verret. The Zappa features occasional alternative concerts.

Explore the Museum of Applied Arts

Walk around the city’s Art Nouveau gem, admire the green tiled roofs or browse through the collection of the world’s third oldest applied arts museum.

Quick espresso at the Bisztrónyúl

A refreshing combination of a gallery and a tiny espresso place, the Bisztróyúl is worth stopping by on your way to the National Museum.

Hungarian history at the National Museum

The gorgeous 1802 National Museum is home to a number of permanent exhibitions tracing Hungarian history from prehistory to Royal Hungarian and the contemporary times.

It’s design o’clock at the FlatLab

Discover the heights of local fashion design, and browse through the pieces of the fresh Mei Kawa label. The entrance is somewhat mysterious – ring bell 14.

Independent Review

Aleksandra Slusar

Private, cosy and magical with its aquamarine colours, this studio apartment is a hidden gem perfect for corporate solo travellers and couples eager to discover the new side of Budapest.  Located in the business district of the city, just few minutes drive from the buzzing old town, the Aquamarine Delight offers plenty of storage space, along with modern day comfort for mid-term stays.

I personally enjoyed the highly functional, well-equipped kitchen and the balcony, perfect for hosting dinner parties on those summer days.

One should know that the Aquamarine Delight, situated in front of one of Budapest’s largest shopping malls, is only few metro stops away from the old town.
