Alto Spots

Walk around the Liszt Ferenc Square

Named after a well-known composer, the Liszt Ferenc Square is framed with welcoming cafés and restaurants with outdoor sitting areas.

Explore the State Opera

The 1884 neo-Renaissance Opera House is among the city’s must-sees. Explore the architecture or enjoy a chic night out with some classical music.

Shopping at the Andrassy Avenue

The Andrassy Avenue is to Budapest what Champs-Élysées is to Paris. Browse through the many designer boutiques, ranging from Armani Privé to Ermenegildo Zegna.

Explore the House of Terror

The House of Terror tells the story of Hungary under the Nazi and Soviet dictatorships. One can learn about the gulag, the propaganda or the detention practices.

Lunch break at the Big Fish bistro

If you are looking for a break from the goulash and langos, the big fish bistro offers a fresh selection of seafood, fish and other salads. Try the salmon rolls or tasty oysters.

Drinks and snacks at Innio

For those who fancy a glass of bubbles, this bistro offers a great selection of champagne and local sparkling wines. Try the lamb ravioli or the cod fish.

Xiaoling Liao

From plush sofas, design armchairs to large comfy beds, the Oktogon Central offers lavish comfort one would expect for a well-deserved holiday. Nestled just under the roofs of a renewed edifice in central Budapest, the spacious flat also features a grand 25m² rooftop terrace with a dining table and a L-shaped sofa to unwind after a busy day out exploring the city.

Besides the swanky rooftop, I also enjoyed the design of the bathroom flooded with natural lights. One will simply love the monochrome design with immaculate fixtures, elegant finish and natural skylight.
