Alto Spots

Lazy breakfast at Rochus

Settle in the large terrace and pick from a large selection of delightfully presented breakfast option and snacks. This place is happening all day-long so you can pop-in for cocktails too.

Groceries from the Rochusmarkt

The history of the popular Rochusmarkt goes all the way back to the 12th century. Nowadays there is a myriad of stalls, little bistros and trendy cafés with gourmet & slow food options.

Lavish Dinner at Loca

Local, low carb & low at. Although it sounds like a no-go-zone, the Loca’s chef makes fantastic food all the way from fresh burrata to artichoke soup and beef-tartare.

Enjoy the museum of applied arts

Discover the exhibition of the commonly called MAK museum. It is the first in the world to exhibit bit-coin based artwork. The interiors are also worth a visit. The courtyard is stunning.

Morning walk through the Stadtpark

The vast greens of the municipal Stadtpark spreading on over 65,000sqm is a great place for relaxation. Walk around and admire the statues of local artists from Bruckner to Zelinka.

Be wowed by the Hundertwasserhaus

Part of Austria’s cultural heritage, the Hundertwasserhaus is one of the city’s expressionist must-sees. Admire the colourful façade of the edifice embellished by trees growing from within the interiors.

Independent Review

Aleksandra Slusar

Designed by the history, the Adventurer's Retreat exemplifies how opulent eclectic style can be. Antler of an African Oryx hang above the fireplace and rattan décor reminds me of the old-colonial style. In contrast, the monochromatic furnishings with a punch of color and texture are refreshingly modern and a private romantic garden adds some fresh accents to the whole setting.

Besides the absorbing interior, the Adventurer's rRetreat has enough space in both the dining and living areas for dinner parties with friends and family, or to relax in the large comfy sofas after a long day of sightseeing.

The lovely outdoor garden is a delightful place for those summer days, while the indoor fireplace is a great add-on for those cold winter evenings.
